Allison Lopez is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto Mississauga, majoring in Biology for Health Sciences and minoring in Psychology and Italian. She began her internship for the ABI research lab in September of 2021, and will be working under the supervision of Dr. Vincy Chan. Their research project consists of a scoping review on rehabilitation options for traumatic brain injury in underserved populations, more specifically looking at individuals who are a part of the criminal justice system. Allison hopes to work as a physician assistant one day, and to help integrate more health equity opportunities in the health care system firsthand with her competency in Spanish, French, English and Italian.
