Riya is currently pursuing her Master of Occupational Therapy in the Rehabilitation Sciences department at the University of Toronto. She is passionate about traumatic brain injury research, providing integrative and holistic care, and health promotion. Riya assisted with a systematic review on integrative care for traumatic brain injuries and a scoping review on rehabilitation interventions available for individuals who experience homelessness and traumatic brain injury. Riya is completing her graduate research project with the ABI lab under the supervision of Dr. Vincy Chan, exploring the disparities of rehabilitation outcomes experienced by minority populations with a TBI. The research training in the ABI lab has undoubtedly contributed to her interest and motivation in rehabilitation research.
