Elma Chowdhury is an undergraduate Research Assistant, pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Science with majors in Biology for Health Sciences and Chemistry. At the Acquired Brain Injury Research Lab, Elma supports Melissa Biscardi’s research on persistent post-concussion symptoms with a focus on the visual system, contributing to literature reviews, participant coordination, and data collection. Her interests include neuropathology of traumatic brain injury, concussion in women, and sex- and gender-based differences in risk, rehabilitation strategies, and outcomes.
